ECS Belgium 2026 returns to Brussels with both the Challenger and Premier Divisions delivering ten action-packed match days at Royal Brussels. From 17 to 28 August, 10 senior men’s clubs will contest 48 matches across two divisions, with former champions returning, exciting debutants entering the ECN stage, and new champions set to be crowned. Belgium is once again ready for two weeks of outstanding European Cricket.

Challenger Division (17-21 August)

A Five-Team Battle Opens ECS Belgium 2026

The opening week belongs to the Challenger Division, where Mechelen Eagles, Ostend CC, International CC Brussels, Gent and Brugge will contest 24 matches across five match days.

The division combines proven ECN performers, former champions and clubs looking to make their mark, creating one of the most intriguing Challenger competitions yet.

Mechelen Eagles Return with Championship Pedigree

Few teams arrive with a stronger Belgian ECS history than Mechelen Eagles.

Champions of the FanCode ECS Belgium in 2022, they return looking to add another title to their collection. Their experience is backed by three previous ECN events and an overall ECN team rating of 81, with particularly impressive bowling (91) and fielding (95) ratings.

Their balanced profile makes them one of the standout contenders heading into Brussels.

Ostend CC Lead the Statistical Rankings

While Mechelen bring history, Ostend CC arrive with the strongest rating profile in the Challenger Division.

Their overall ECN team rating of 87 and ECN ranking of 159 are complemented by outstanding bowling and fielding ratings of 97, making them one of the most disciplined sides in the competition.

The Challenger Division also introduces fresh ECN storylines.

Brugge make their ECN debut, while International CC Brussels and Gent continue their ECN journeys with opportunities to establish themselves on the continental stage.

The second week shifts attention to the Premier Division, where Brussels Capital Warriors, Hasselt CC, Beveren, Genk and Royal Antwerp CC compete across another 24 matches.

Unlike previous editions, neither of Belgium’s recent ECS champions appears in the Premier field, guaranteeing that a new Premier champion will be crowned.

Brussels Capital Warriors Bring Complete Balance

Among the favourites are Brussels Capital Warriors, who arrive with one of the strongest all-round profiles in Belgium.

Their ECN rating of 91, ranking of 95, and remarkably even batting (90), bowling (92) and fielding (92) ratings underline their consistency across every aspect of the game.

Hasselt CC Top the Ratings

On paper, Hasselt CC enter as the team to beat.

Their overall ECN team rating of 95 is the highest in the competition, supported by an outstanding batting rating of 95, making them one of the tournament’s most dangerous attacking sides.

Experience Meets Fresh Ambition

Beveren bring the greatest ECN experience to the Premier Division, having already featured in five ECN events.

Meanwhile, Genk and Royal Antwerp CC begin their ECN journeys, giving the Premier competition an exciting blend of established quality and fresh ambition.
