Apex United leading the way at ECS England, Hornchurch, 2026

ECS England, Hornchurch, 2026 delivered a run-soaked T10 showcase at Harrow Lodge Park, with nine clubs bringing the noise across 11 match days in England. From Rajesh Sharma’s unbeaten 137 to Gurnek Saini’s 4/13, the event was packed with standout performances and big moments.

A packed T10 show in Hornchurch

ECS England, Hornchurch, 2026 brought senior men’s club cricket to Harrow Lodge Park in Hornchurch, England, under the ECS banner and with the support of the England and Wales Cricket Board.

Running from Monday 27 July 2026 to Friday 7 August 2026, the event featured nine club teams and served up action across a packed 40-match tournament. Apex United finished as the side with the most wins, collecting nine victories in a competition where setting targets proved a strong route to success, with teams batting first winning 60% of the time.

The event data recorded the wider competition as in progress, while the Most Valuable Player record for ECS England, Hornchurch, 2026 was marked completed — but on the field, the numbers told the story of a tournament full of clean striking, fast scoring and wicket-taking drama.

Batting fireworks and monster totals

Rainham also produced one of the wildest overs of the tournament, taking 37 runs from the third over of Match 19 against Fearless Lions of West Ham.

Maximos, fours and pure T10 hitting

The hitting numbers were enormous. ECS England, Hornchurch, 2026 saw 971 maximos, with one arriving every 4.7 balls on average. Across a ten-over spell, the event’s maximo rate stood at 12.8.

Their best batting performance came on Friday 7 August 2026, when they struck 94 from 26 balls for Apex United against Sharks Cricket Academy, including 11 maximos in that match.

Bowling bite in a batter-friendly event

For all the huge totals, the bowlers had their say too. The tournament produced 356 dismissals, with wickets falling at a rate of 4.7 per ten overs and a dismissal coming every 33.5 runs on average. Dot balls made up 28% of deliveries, showing that even in a fast-scoring event, pressure still mattered.

Farhan Kiyani of Apex United finished as the leading wicket-taker, claiming 14 wickets in eight matches.

The best bowling figures belonged to Gurnek Saini of East Londoners, who delivered 4/13 in 1.5 overs against Fearless Lions of West Ham in Match 15.

There was also a standout defensive effort from Fearless Lions of West Ham, who defended just 108 to beat Hornchurch by 34 runs in Match 8 — the lowest successful defence of ECS England, Hornchurch, 2026.

Muhammad Faizan Muhammad Tayyab contributed with the ball as well for Apex United. They bowled in four matches, sending down 50 balls, taking six wickets, conceding 98 runs, and finishing with an economy rate of 11.8 and a bowling strike rate of 8.3. Their best bowling came on Friday 7 August 2026, when they took 3/17 in 2.0 overs against Sharks Cricket Academy.

They also finished with 643 match fantasy points, had played in one recorded player event, and were listed as yet to play for a national team.

Fielding and keeping standouts

The fielders were busy throughout the event, and Zain Akhtar of Apex United led the way with nine dismissals in eight matches — all nine of them catches, with no run outs.

Behind the stumps, Umair Riaz of Apex United topped the keeping chart with four dismissals in one match, made up of one catch as wicketkeeper, three stumpings and no run outs.
