What a season! From 41 events across the continent and major developments behind the scenes to a special collaboration with Rado and an exciting new chapter for Campo Maximo, 2026 has been a year of challenges, progress and memorable moments. As we close another season, we're celebrating the people who made it possible and looking ahead to what's coming in 2027.

A Season of Challenges, Progress and Reward

The 2026 European Cricket season has officially come to a close. It's been a challenging but incredibly rewarding year, filled with great cricket, important milestones and valuable lessons that will help shape our future.

We began the season with a clear objective: to rebuild our entire streaming technology stack in-house. From broadcast graphics and scoring systems to new statistical analysis tools and the overall viewing experience, 2026 marked a significant step forward in how we produce and deliver European Cricket.

The season has provided valuable data, insights and real-world experience, helping us identify where we can continue to improve. Our work doesn't stop when the final ball is bowled, and our team is already using these learnings to develop an even better ECN experience for 2027.

41 Events, One European Cricket Community

From March to November, European Cricket delivered 41 events, beginning and ending the season in Spain. Along the way, we returned to many familiar cricketing destinations while also exploring new locations, including Ibiza, Poland and Scotland.

Madrid, Granada, Santarém, Alicante, La Manga, Ibiza, Limassol, Prague, Edinburgh, Warsaw, Zuoz, Sofia, Lausanne, Zurich, London, Tallinn, Brussels, Beveren, Budapest and Regensburg all played host to ECN competitions, bringing together domestic clubs and national teams for another memorable season.

But beyond the events, venues and results, what makes European Cricket special is its community.

None of this would be possible without our national federation partners, clubs, match officials, organisers, volunteers and the many passionate individuals who dedicate their time and energy to the game.

To everyone who contributed to the 2026 season, thank you. Your commitment continues to bring people together and strengthen the European Cricket community.

A Look at Our All-Time Statistics Following the 2026 Season

Another season of cricket has added to the ever-growing history of the European Cricket Network. From thousands of matches to more than a million runs, these numbers reflect the scale of the game and the contribution of players and teams across the continent since ECN began.

1,665,988

runs

1,020,325

balls

107,931

maximos hit

77,410

wickets taken

Behind every number is a match, a performance, a team and a story that has helped build European Cricket into what it is today.

A Special Milestone with Rado

One of the proudest moments of our 2026 season was the launch of a very special collaboration with our Official Timing Partner, Rado.

European Cricket and Rado, the Swiss watchmaker renowned as the Master of Materials, unveiled the Captain Cook × European Cricket Special Edition, a timepiece designed specifically to celebrate our partnership and shared values of precision, performance and sporting excellence.

Built on the Captain Cook's renowned sporting pedigree, the special edition combines Rado's expertise in innovative materials and Swiss watchmaking with playful design details inspired by cricket.

It's a milestone that means a great deal to everyone at European Cricket, and we're proud to share it with our community.

Feel Rado.

A New Home for European Cricket

Perhaps the biggest highlight of the 2026 season is a milestone that looks well beyond this year: the development of Campo Maximo, the future home of European Cricket.

Located in Orihuela Costa, Spain, Campo Maximo is being developed as a purpose-built destination combining specialist cricket infrastructure with premium hospitality, creating a place for players, teams, fans and visitors to experience cricket throughout the year.

With approvals secured for both the Campo Maximo Stadium, also known as the European Cricket Ground, and Campo Maximo Resort, this ambitious project has reached an important stage in its development.

Work is already underway at the stadium site, marking the beginning of the next chapter in bringing this vision to life.

Campo Maximo represents a significant step towards establishing a permanent home for European Cricket and creating new opportunities for the sport, our community and future generations of players.

The Cricket Continues with ECN Rewind

The live 2026 season may be over, but there's still plenty of cricket to enjoy.

Starting this November, ECN Rewind will bring some of the best events of the season back to our YouTube channel, giving you another opportunity to catch the action you may have missed or simply enjoy your favourite moments again.

We'll also be opening the archives to share special footage from previous seasons, revisiting memorable matches and performances from European Cricket's history.

Join us every second day throughout the off-season for another dose of European Cricket.

New Events, New Opportunities and More European Cricket

While the 2026 season has come to an end, preparations for 2027 are already well underway.

Our team is working closely with national federations, clubs and partners on another exciting calendar, with some fantastic events already taking shape.

We're also continuing to develop our broadcast technology, scoring systems and digital experience, building on everything we've learned throughout the past year.

There's plenty more to share, and we'll be revealing details of the 2027 European Cricket season soon.

Thank You for Being Part of European Cricket

To our players, clubs, national federations, officials, volunteers, partners and fans, thank you for being part of the 2026 European Cricket season.

It's been a year of challenges and achievements, and we're grateful to everyone who has helped make it possible.

We look forward to sharing more stories, developments and announcements with you in the coming months.
