Catalunya Tigers will be looking to carry on where they left off in November, when they became ECS Barcelona Bash champions to round off the year.

Having lost some key performers from that exciting success in November, the Tigers will remain fiercely competitive in this format, having added a new influx of exceptional talent from rivals Catalunya CC.

KEY PLAYERS

YASIR ALI
Spanish international Yasir Ali is one of the classiest batsmen in the whole of Spain and continues to set high standards for Catalunya CC. Second top run scorer at November's ECS Barcelona, Yasir Ali yielded 355 runs in nine innnings at a sizzling strike rate of just over 210, caressing 37 fours and 23 sixes with his delightful strokeplay. Turning out for the Tigers this time around, Yasir will again be one of the leading candidates for MVP honours, chipping in regularly with vital wickets with his flighted off breaks.

 

GHULAM SARWAR

Club President and captain, won best bowling award in 2019 with 42 wickets, including a record-breaking spell of 6-7 in 3.1 overs with his deceptive off-spin. Inevitably finished as his side’s top wicket taker in October's ECS with 10 scalps, before leading his side to victory at the Barcelona Bash the following month.

 

RAZAQAT ALI

A key all-round performer in previous ECS Barcelona tournaments, bagging two man of the match awards along the way. A prolific six hitter, Razaqat Ali can chip in with valuable wickets.

 

SYED SHERAZI

Syed Sherazi ended top wicket taker at ECL19 for local rivals Catalunya CC. The wily left-arm will vary his pace and will be a particular threat in the middle overs.
