Team Preview for Pakistan CC

Pakistan CC shot to the top of the table after two impressive wins on Wednesday. The outcome of this match could very well determine if they hold onto it.

Captain: Amar Naeem

Main Wicketkeeper: Arsalan Arif

Key Players:

Bilal Zalmai is Pakistan CC’s opening batsman and leading run-scorer. “BILLY Z” can also bowl an over or two if required and has chipped in with 3 wickets this week. He is a big reason that Pakistan CC have shot to the top of the table.

Shadnan Khan is now the leading wicket-taker in the series for Pakistan CC. A strong man who can hit a long ball, he can also bat up in the top order. If he gets goingm he will be very hard to stop.

Zeshan Arif has hit plenty of sixes this week and I’m sure he’d love a few more before all is said and done in Vienna.

Jaweed Sadran has impressed not only with his five wickets but also the decent economy rate at which he’s been able to obtain them.

Team Preview for Indian CC Vienna

India CC Vienna had a disappointing Wednesday, losing to the previously winless Austria CC Wien in Match 13 before going down to Vienna Afghans in the last match of the day. Clinging onto fourth place by a point, they would love to win this match and with it, some valuable breathing space.

Captain: Kunal Joshi

Main Wicketkeeper: Mehar Cheema

Key Players:

Kumud Jha is the leading bowler in the series from any team. He would love to add some more Pakistan batsmen to his list of victims in this huge match.

Kunal Joshi leads his side with passion and is a real key player for Indian CC Vienna. He has been in pretty good form with the bat but would love some more wickets. He fields himself in important positions so will want to hold onto the catches that come his way.

Mehar Cheema has good energy behind the stumps and rediscovered a bit of batting form with an unbeaten 38 off 22 balls in a losing cause in their last match.

Daud Zadran is a bowler who is also useful for some runs down the order. Picking up 3 for 12 in his last outing, he should go into Thursday full of confidence.

Mr Maximo’s tip: PAKISTAN CC

Anytime you have an India v Pakistan clash, you can expect passion and fireworks! Indian CC Vienna won the first contest between these teams, a rain-reduced six over contest on Tuesday evening. Pakistan CC have since found their swagger and can expect to start this match as favourites. Although we’ve seen funny things happen on Thursdays before and I flirted with tipping Indian CC Vienna CC in an upset, I think Pakistan CC will overpower them in this very exciting match-up.
