The European Cricket Network live broadcasts the 2020 European Cricket Series Hungary encounter between Royal Tigers CC and Baggy Blues CC.

PREVIEW: MATCH 2 – Royal Tigers CC v Baggy Blues CC – European Cricket Series Hungary

Tune in to the live action Saturday from 11am CEST * 10am UK * 9am GMT * 2:30pm IST from the GB Oval in Sződliget, Hungary.

Team Preview for Royal Tigers CC

The Royal Tigers will come into the series opener full of confidence, boasting several experienced players and national representatives. The European Cricket Series will be a new challenge for all of their players, no matter what their previous cricket accomplishments, and I’m sure the Royal Tigers would see themselves as a very good chance of raising the trophy in Sződliget this weekend.

Captain: Marc Ahuja

Main Wicketkeeper: Maaz Bhaiji

Key Players:

Stan Ahuja will bat number and is also a useful off spinner. He is a fantastic all-round talent who plays for the Hungarian national team and has had a great 12 months for club and country. I'm sure he'll be keen to show what he can do on the big stage of the European Cricket Series.

Marc Ahuja is leading the side this weekend and is also the current Hungarian national team skipper. He will open the batting and look to set the pace of the Royal Tigers innings.

Steffan Gooch could bat number three but could really bat anywhere in the order. He can play many roles for his team and is a very versatile cricketer.

Zeechan Kukikhel is considered by many to be the best batsman in the country over the past few seasons and his attacking approach really suits the T10 format. I think we’ll see him unafraid to play his strokes from the get-go.

Team Preview for Baggy Blues CC

Any Baggy Blues team is a competitive outfit and they will be very keen to give a good account of themselves this weekend. Their first match against the Royal Tigers is a challenge, but if they can win this contest they stand a good chance of bringing home some silverware.

Captain: Jack Murrell

Main Wicketkeeper: Bharanidharan Parvathi

Key Players:

Asanka Weligamage is a very skilful all-founder who will open the bowling for the Baggy Blues. He can be a fiery customer with the ball and has a quick bouncer that will keep any batsman on their toes. With the bat he can hit it a long way and is also a very safe pair of hands in the field.

Duncan Shoebridge is a very experienced campaigner and smart spin bowler. He also does a lot of great work mentoring the younger players in the team and developing junior cricket in Hungary.

Vinoth Ravindran will open the batting and is a cool customer. He possesses a solid technique but will need to start playing his shots a bit earlier than usual in the ten over game.

Sandeep Mohandas will open the bowling for the Baggy Blues and his in-swingers have castled many a batsman. He’ll be on the lookout for early wickets to stifle the opposition innings.

Mr Maximo’s tip: ROYAL TIGERS CC

Like the tournament opener, the second match of the series should also be a very interesting contest. Baggy Blues definitely have some very good players, but overall in this match I favour the Tigers to have too much class for the Baggies and so expect the Royal Tigers CC to come out on top.
