The European Cricket Network live broadcasts the 2020 European Cricket Series Frankfurt encounter between Frankfurt CC and SG Hainhausen 1886.

PREVIEW: MATCH 6 – Frankfurt CC v SG Hainhausen 1886 – European Cricket Series Frankfurt

Tune in to the live action Tuesday from 9am CEST * 8am UK * 7am GMT * 12:30pm IST from the Frankfurt Oval in Germany.

Team Preview for Frankfurt CC

Frankfurt CC split their matches on Day 1 of the tournament. After losing their opening fixture to Türk FC Hattersheim am Main, they recovered to record their first televised win against Darmstadt CC later in the day. If they want to qualify for Finals Friday, they will need to have a Super Tuesday.

Captain: Alim al Razy

Main Wicketkeeper: Wamaq Syed

Key Players:

Alishan Mohmand will open the batting and possibly the bowling too. He was a little scratchy in the first match but regained form in the second, responding with an unbeaten half century as well as 3 for 14 with the ball. He is one player that can win a match on his own.

Naqash Naveed is known for his left arm spinners but showed what he could do with the bat against Darmstadt CC, blasting 57 off 28 balls which proved crucial in a match his side only won by 11 runs. He also took three wickets in that game.

Alim al Razy showed he wasn’t afraid to bring himself on at important times on Monday. His strong leadership is starting to pay off and it was great to see Frankfurt finally win a game on ECN after several close encounters had gone against them.

Team Preview for SG Hainhausen 1886

SG Hainhausen 1886 were the only side to win both of their matches on Monday. They will hope to make it three out of three against Frankfurt CC and cement their place on top of Group A.

Captain & Main Wicketkeeper: Muneeb Mubashir

Key Players:

Muneeb Mubashir is Hainhausen’s keeper, opening batsman and captain. He made twenties in both matches on Monday but I do see him going on with it at some stage. Perhaps this will be the match that he breaks out.

Rafeh Ahmad announced himself after being promoted to open the batting against Türk FC with a breathtaking 71 not out off only 24 balls. SG Hainhausen have experimented with opening batsmen so far but will surely have to retain Rafeh at the top of the order after that knock.

Yasir Ahmed turned the game with the ball in their second match with three big wickets, including both openers. Getting early wickets against Frankfurt CC will be important and should restrict them to a chaseable score.

Mr Maximo’s tip: SG HAINHAUSEN 1886

Frankfurt CC are anything but whipping boys and it was great to see them register a win on Monday. However, I can’t see them getting of SG Hainhausen in this kind of form. An upset is a distinct possibility but ultimately I favour SG Hainhausen 1886 to win the first match of Tuesday at the European Cricket Series Frankfurt. Don’t miss a ball of the action on ECN!
