Team Preview for SG Hainhausen 1886
SG Hainhausen 1886 were undefeated throughout the group stage and will fancy their chances to make the final against an FCA04 Darmstadt lineup who may be a little tired after a long day on Thursday. After falling at the semi-final stage in the July European Cricket Series they will want to avoid the same fate.
Captain & Main Wicketkeeper: Muneeb Mubashir
Key Players:
Rafeh Ahmad is their leading run scorer, thanks mainly to his blistering knock of 71 not out off only 24 balls against Türk FC Hattersheim am Main. They have experimented with opening combinations, but I think he is the man for the big game.
Muneeb Mubashir is a very important player for SG Hainhausen. He will wicketkeep, open the batting and captain the side. He has been able to steer his team through the tournament undefeated to this point but FCA04 Darmstadt present the toughest hurdle yet.
Yasir Ahmed has bowled really well in the group stage. He is the tournament’s equal leading wicket-taker with seven scalps to his name.

FCA04 “United Stars” Darmstadt ended up second in Group B after a narrow loss in a rain-affected final match against SV Wiesbaden. They are the current German representatives in the European Cricket League and will be desperate to make amends after the fiery final group match Thursday.

Muhammad Mudassar is FCA04 Darmstadt’s leading run-scorer, opening batsman and captain who found himself in the middle of some controversy in the last group match. The German international has showed glimpses of why he is considered one of the premier strokemakers in the country.
Tahir Ahmed captured six wickets on their first day of action but couldn’t snare one on Thursday. He is a quality bowler though, and I expect him to put in a good performance.
Husnain Kabeer has had a shocking week with the bat but he is a quality player. He scored a half-century when these teams last met in the ECS, a game that FCA04 Darmstadt won in style. He is capable, and would love to recapture some of that touch in this huge semi-final clash.

This game is another very difficult one to predict – there have been a few this week! Both these teams lose semi-finals back in the July European Cricket Series and unfortunately one will taste that disappointment again. FCA04 Darmstadt may be just that little more hungry after their dramatic final group match and did win the previous encounter between these two teams so I’ve tipped them to edge out SG Hainhausen 1886 in a close contest.
