REPORT: Cyprus Eagles CTL close on leaders Riyaan at European Cricket Series Cyprus

Blessed once again with gloriously sunny skies, the European Cricket Series Cyprus is set for a wonderful climax in Limassol over the weekend.

Leaders Riyaan were without a game on Thursday and saw Cyprus Eagles CTL eat into their lead at the top of the standings following two comprehensive victories. Riyaan hold onto top spot by virtue of a superior net run rate, with the top two meeting on Saturday to decide who tops the group. As it stands, Nicosia Tigers appear nailed on to finish third in the standings, while Sri Lankan Lions Limassol are looking good for the final semi-spot after a precious victory over the Nicosia Fighters, leaves them in fourth with a much better NRR.
