The European Cricket Network live broadcasts the 2020 European Cricket Series Barcelona encounter between Fateh and Hawks.

PREVIEW: MATCH 25 – Fateh v Hawks – European Cricket Series Barcelona

Tune in to the live action Tuesday from 9am CEST * 8am UK * 7am GMT * 12:30pm IST from the Montjuïc ground in Barcelona, Spain.

Team Preview for Fateh

Fateh CC were the Golden Ball heroes on opening day but have had mixed results in their other matches. They currently sit mid-table with two wins out of four matches and will need a string of good results to progress to the next stage. A loss to Hawks in this match will likely sink their finals ambitions.

Captain: Manjinder Singh-Lovely

Main Wicketkeeper: Lakhvir Singh-Vinty

Key Players:

Happy Singh had a slow start to the series but his promotion to the top of the order on Friday paid immediate dividends. He batted through the innings to make an unbeaten 59 off 23 balls against the Kings and he also got off to a bright start against Catalunya Tigers before his dismissal sparked a dramatic Fateh collapse – they lost all 10 wickets for only 33 runs to be all out for 50!

Manjinder Singh-Lovely will likely open the batting and can also open the bowling. The skipper made 60 runs and taken 3 wickets so far but he will need to take his game up another notch if he's going to lead Fateh into the finals.

Rajiv Singh smashed 31 off only 13 balls at number six in the Golden Ball match on opening day but has scored only a single run since. He will be hoping his luck changes with the bat and wouldn’t mind a couple of wickets too.

Team Preview for Hawks

Hawks CC have only played once so far in the tournament, a narrow loss to Badalona Shaheen back on the first day in only the second match. With three matches on their Super Tuesday, the Hawks will become contenders if they can get on a winning streak.

Captain & Main Wicketkeeper: Kamraan Zia

Key Players:

Muhammad Sohail was their top scorer in the only match they played in this series so far, scoring 25 off 13 balls after coming in at the precarious scoreline of 23 for 4. I was surprised to see him batting so low because he has been one of their best players in short-form cricket. He was one of their leading six-hitters in the Liga Catalana last year whilst also being their leading wicket-taker.

Kamraan Zia and Amir Hamza are likely to open the batting. They both went for ducks in their only appearance so far, being dismissed in a disastrous first over that also saw number three Muhammad Bilal go without scoring. All of these players should get another opportunity to bat in the top order and they will be out to make amends.

Abdul Haseeb was part of the innings-saving partnership with Muhammad Sohail last week which saw the Hawks bat to a respectable total. He is another player I’d like to see bat higher and face more deliveries as he has shown he can clear the boundary rope regularly.

Mr Maximo’s tip: HAWKS

It’s been a long time between games for Hawks. We will see them in action again eight days after their solitary appearance so far. Their three matches on Super Tuesday will be crucial to their overall tournament. Fateh have certainly had plenty of bright spots but inconsistency has been their downfall, as we saw in their last match when they were bundled out for 50 after a solid win against the Kings the match before. I see the Hawks opening their account with a win over Fateh in the first match of the day, making a bright start to their Super Tuesday.
