Dream11 European Cricket Series Stockholm - Seven teams are participating - Alby Zalmi CC, Indiska CC, Kista CC, Pakistanska Föreningen, Sigtuna CC, Stockholm CC and Stockholm Mumbai Indians in 25 high-octane T10 matches over five days in the Swedish capital Stockholm. Every game is live streamed worldwide on the European Cricket Network and on FanCode - a multi-sport aggregator platform, from the house of Dream Sports for the Indian Sub-Continent.
In the first semi-final, Sigtuna CC won the toss and elected to bat on the most pleasant day of the week weather-wise in sunny Stockholm.
Favourites Kista had topped the Dream11 European Cricket Series Stockholm standings after the group stages following five wins out of six, but found Sigtuna a much different proposition to their first meeting the previous day.
Muhammad Rehman composed a high-quality innings at the top of the order to motor Sigtuna to a challenging 96. Despite some lusty late blows in reply, Kista crumbled and never looked like threatening the imposing target.
Rehman rewardsPakistanska Föreningen against Alby Zalmi followed in the second semi, a meeting that was rained off earlier in the week with the points shared.
Batting first after winning the toss, unbeaten Pakistanska Föreningen progressed to 108 with Choudry Ali again impressive at the top.
Kista had chased down 83 in the group stages, still the highest chase of the tournament by some margin, giving an indication of the monumental task facing Alby Zalmi to reach the final.
In reply, with dreaded scoreboard pressure soon rearing its ugly head, Alby Zalmi folded in the face of brilliant spell from Muhammad Bilal, who bagged four early wickets. Much was resting on the shoulders of their talisman Azam Khalil and after his demise, Alby Zalmi limped to 66 and Pakistanska Föreningen progressed serenely to the final.
