PREVIEW: MATCH 6 – Power CC vs Zurich Crickets – Dream11 European Cricket Series St Gallen

Tune in to the live action Tuesday from 9am CEST * 8am UK * 7am GMT * 12:30pm IST from the Grundenmoos ground in the city of St Gallen, Switzerland.

Team Preview for Power CC

Power CC were established in 2007 in Winterthur.  They are two-time winners of the Cricket Switzerland Premier League. This is their first game in the tournament and they will look to hit the ground running against the Crickets.

Captain: Safiat ullah Sajid

Main Wicket-keeper: Babar Anwar

Key Players:

Osama Mahmood Henderson probably Power’s best bat, but it will be interesting to see if he can attack from ball one.

Izhar Shinvari is an adaptable all-rounder who may open the innings with the bat.

Afzal Sikander is a key weapon with the new ball, and he will be looking for early wickets against the questionable Crickets batting lineup.

Safiat ullah Sajid will captain the side and is a key member of the Power top order.

Team Preview for Zurich Crickets

Despite a fairy tale run to the Swiss 40 Over Final last season, the young Crickets struggled to adapt to T10 cricket on Day 1 of the tournament, suffering three heavy losses. The team will be keen to atone against an opponent who are playing their first game for the week and might have a few cobwebs.

Captain & Main Wicket-Keeper: Nicolas Henderson

Key Players:

Eden Wardle was a shining light for the Crickets on the first day of the tournament.  The 17-year-old followed up his lone hand of 2 for 12 against the bludgeoning Nomads with a stunning hat trick off the only three balls he bowled in their second match against St Gallen.  He will need to take more wickets if the Crickets are going to open their account in this match.

Nicolas Henderson is the leader of the side, despite being only 21 years of age himself.  As captain and wicketkeeper, he carries a lot of responsibility for his team.  He fought bravely without luck on Day 1 and will look for a big performance to turn things around in this match.

Baljit Singh hit the ball in his innings of 24 off 16 balls in their second match, but was out cheaply in the other two games, getting caught square of the wicket on the off side.  He is the key to them scoring a competitive total.

Attaullah Ahmadzai is an awkward customer to face with his whippy action.  He picked up 3 for 11 off his two overs against St Gallen and will be hoping for more wickets in this clash.

Mr Maximo tip: POWER CC

The Crickets will be better for the experience of their first three games on the big stage, but I can’t see them getting it together in time to challenge a Power CC lineup who many feel can make it to the top four and beyond.  Power CC by a healthy margin.
