Sadly, slipping to their sixth straight defeat, the Intellectuals were left especially rueing their narrow defeat to Levante in their previous game when they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
On the back of another fine innings from Nadeem Muhammad (40 off 25), Intellectuals posted a total of 102 which always looked a tad short of a competitive total.
Paul Harvey chipped away at the target with 29 off 21 before Ollie Richardson made hay with an unbeaten 62 off 27 balls as La Manga sailed to back-to-back victories to save some face after some disappointing earlier displays.
