Year in Review - Sharanya Sadarangani becomes the first woman cricketer to play in Dream11 European Cricket Series

Promising wicket keeper Sharanya Sadarangani set the standard by becoming the first female cricketer to play in the Dream11 European Cricket Series.

Sharanya, better known as Sharu, impressed behind the stumps for Kummerfelder Sportverein in their successful Dream11 European Cricket Series Kummerfeld campaign in Germany this summer.

Speaking about her experience playing in the Dream11 European Cricket Series Kummerfeld: "It was a fantastic competition to be involved in. Having not experienced any T10 cricket before, it’s brilliant to get the opportunity to play in this format of the game,” Sharu said.

Sharu, 25, has become a valuable member of the Germany squad with international experience for Denmark and in England with Essex CCC. Formerly, she represented the Karnataka U19 state team in Bangalore alongside future India World Cup stars such as Veda Krishnamurthy and Rajeshwari Gayakwad.

Sharu definitely looked the the part behind the stumps for KSV on their way to theDream11 European Cricket Series Kummerfeld title. Her husband Finn, a talented spinner, also plays for the German Bundesliga Champions, as the couple combined for success this summer.
