Netherlands teams eyeing ECL20 spot

There’s little time to bask in the glow of ECL19 with the race to qualify for the much-anticipated staging of ECL20 heating up in the respective European federations.

And this Saturday 24th August sees the T20 finals in the Netherlands with four sides still in the running to qualify for ECL20.

HBS from Den Haag meet Excelsior ’20 (Schiedam) in the opening joust at 10am at Voorburg Cricket Club, and in another mouth-watering clash V.O.C. Rotterdam face Amsterdamsche CC in the second semi-final.

Of course, only a few weeks ago, V.O.C. Rotterdam were crowned Kings of European cricket when they won the first edition of the European Cricket League in devastating fashion in La Manga, Spain.

Packing 17 matches into an exciting T10 format over three days, interest in ECL19 was massive, with every match televised live in Europe, Asia, North America and Australasia across a combination of broadcast, digital and social channels, including the newly-launched European Cricket Network. Over 100 countries worldwide broadcasted coverage including the UK, Australia, India, Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, France, Germany, Turkey, Spain, USA, Canada and the Caribbean.
