In our Stars of ECL series, we look at Armghan Khan, President and hard-hitting batsman for Catalunya Cricket Club of Spain.

European Cricket Family - Q & A: Armghan Khan of Catalunya Cricket Club

Here is Armghan cracking a pulsating 63 not out off 32 balls against Italy’s Brescia at ECL19, playing through the pain barrier with a busted finger on home soil at La Manga Club in Spain. Armghan and Catalunya succumbed to eventual winners V.O.C. Rotterdam in the semi-final at ECL19.

Furthermore, Armghan played a leading role in the local organising committee for the planned for Dream11 European Cricket Series events Barcelona and Catalunya in March. However, these much-anticipated back-to-back weeks of cricket in Spain had to be postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. The Dream11 European Cricket Series events in Barcelona and Catalunya were due to be played at the Montjuic Cricket Ground (MCG) in facilities built for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
