After completing a routine win in the opening match of the day, Kummerfelder Sportverein equalled the highest-ever ECS total smashing 198 runs in the next game against THCC Hamburg. KSV opener Ahmed Musaddiq was on fire, smashing the first century of the tournament. The right-hander smoked 115 off just 33 balls, dismissed on the final ball of the innings in an attempt to cross the 200-run mark and seal the ECS record for his side.
VFB Fallersleben opened their account with a comprehensive win over previously unbeaten SC Europa. Sunny Rai bagged his first man of the match award for his valuable contributions with bat and ball.
SC Europa bounced back to avenge their previous loss to VFB Fallersleben. Bilal Shinwari batted with intent to score a fighting 44 off 24 balls and also returned outstanding figures of 1-6 in his two overs to take man of the match honours. With three wins from four games, SCE sit comfortably in second spot in the Group B standings behind Kummerfelder Sportverein.
