RECAP – DAY 2 – FanCode ECS Bulgaria
FanCode ECS Bulgaria provides an opportunity for five teams to showcase their skills, contesting 24 games over six days. Every game will be live streamed worldwide on the European Cricket Network and on FanCode - a multi-sport aggregator platform, from the house of Dream Sports for the Indian Sub-Continent.
Chasing a meagre total, Kevin D’Souza slammed 26 runs in just nine deliveries to secure the run-chase for Academic-MU Sofia. MUS also have to thank Albin Jacob and Ali Rasool, who picked up a couple of wickets each.
Academic-MU Sofia were helped by Delrick Vinu’s three-wicket haul in the second match of the day. Having restricted PLO to a paltry 64, the MUS batting unit got the job done comfortably.
Debutants VTU-MU Pleven secured a win in their very first match of the campaign. Aswad Khan (2/4 and 18*) led the way with both the bat and the ball for PLE.
Barbarians pulled things back with a win in the second fixture with Dimo Nikolov making an unbeaten 22 off 10 balls after a disciplined bowling show helped BAR restrict PLE to 84 in the first innings. Despite losing two wickets in the final over when needing only two runs to win, a wide and a leg bye helped BAR scrape home.
