European Cricket League presenter Urvashi Yadav has opened up about welcoming her beautiful baby daughter Akira to the world.

Three weeks ago, we reported that the European Cricket Family was eagerly awaiting its newest addition. We are delighted to announce that Urvashi Yadav, who brilliantly presented our live TV coverage at the inaugural European Cricket League last summer, has given birth to a baby daughter, Akira, in Berlin, Germany.

Urvashi told the European Cricket Network: “Giving birth during these extraordinary circumstances could have been rife with fear. I’m blessed to have a healthy and beautiful baby girl. Akira has been a true source of happiness and a ray of sunshine during these difficult times.”

Recalling the past few weeks: “I did everything possible to stay away from the cycle of fear, acknowledging that we are all collectively going through this change and have to do our best.

“I have been spending time with my son and family, meditating, watching stand-up comedy on TV, relaxing and also enjoying long video calls with my mother, who is in lockdown in India.”
