European Cricket Championship

Cricket was thriving in Germany until the First World War, especially in Berlin. Germany’s proudest moment came more recently winning the ICC European Division I in 2017. Germany have invested huge amounts of time and efforts to support the influx of refugees from cricket playing nations and also boast several players with first-class experience.

Germany made their international debut in 1989 in a two-match bilateral series against Denmark as West Germany. Germany cannot call on a full-strength squad for ECC21, but will be serious contenders to make it to Championship Week, boasting numerous talented players that have made their mark in ECN events over the last couple of years.
